“Schedule for the Registration of New Students in the Mathematics Ph.D. Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University, Even Semester, Academic Year 2019/2020, First wave begins on September 2, 2019, and ends on October 31, 2019. The second wave is from November 1 to January 2, 2019.
Requirements for Prospective Students of the Mathematics Ph.D. Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UGM, for the Academic Year 2019/2020:
1. Master’s GPA Requirements:
a. For graduates with a related field (Mathematics/Statistics), the Master’s GPA requirements are as follows:
i) ≥3.00 on a scale of 4 or equivalent. For applicants from accredited program studies A, and for those with 3.00≤GPA<3.25, they must have 2 publications (journal/proceedings) in the field of mathematics/statistics.
ii) ≥3.25 on a scale of 4 or equivalent. For applicants from accredited program studies B, and for those with 3.25≤GPA<3.50, they must have 2 publications (journal/proceedings) in the field of mathematics/statistics.
iii) ≥3.50 on a scale of 4 or equivalent. For applicants from accredited program studies C, and for those with 3.50≤GPA<3.75, they must have 2 publications (journal/proceedings) in the field of mathematics/statistics.
b. For graduates with an unrelated field (including mathematics education), they must have a GPA of ≥3.50 and must have 2 publications (journal/proceedings) in the field of mathematics/statistics."
Note : For prospective students who are not required to submit publications, if you have publications, you can include them in your application as an additional value in the selection process at the program level.

3. Specific requirements and/or additional prerequisites needed for the selection of new students in the Mathematics Ph.D. Program, Graduate Program, Odd Semester, Academic Year 2019/2020:
– Proof of online registration and uploaded documents (2 copies).
– Photocopies of bachelor’s and master’s degree certificates and transcripts (6 copies).
– Bound copies of the dissertation proposal (6 copies).
All documents must be submitted to the Administrative Department of the Mathematics Ph.D. Program no later than November 8, 2019, for the first wave, and no later than January 10, 2020, for the second wave.
