Success is Not Final. Failure is Not Fatal: Graduation Ceremony of the Postgraduate Program in the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UGM, Period II Academic Year 2023/2024

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) hosted the Graduation Ceremony for Postgraduate Students for the Second Period of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The event took place at the FMIPA UGM Auditorium on the 7th floor. 

During this graduation period, the Department of Mathematics celebrated the achievements of 8 Master’s (S2) graduates and 3 Doctoral (S3) graduates. Out of these 11 graduates, 7 earned the distinction of graduating with cum laude predicate. Notably, Razieq Ilham Amaliy, S.Mat., M.Sc., was recognized as the youngest graduate of the Master’s Program at the age of 24 years, two months, and 14 days. 

The ceremony commenced with an opening speech by the Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si. He expressed his appreciation for the graduates’ success, describing the day as joyful and recognizing the graduates’ journey as one filled with challenges, dedication, and perseverance. He expressed his hope that the happiness of the graduation day would continue onwards. 

Congratulations to the postgraduate students of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UGM, Period II of the Academic Year 2023/2024. May their achievements mark the beginning of a brilliant career journey and contribute positively to society and the field of science. This celebration also contributes to SDG 8, promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
