A New Journey Begins: UGM Mathematics Department Graduates 30 Students

Yogyakarta (22/05/2024) – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM) held the Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Programs on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. The solemn event was attended by graduates, lecturers, educators, and the families of the graduates.

In this graduation period, the UGM Mathematics Department graduated a total of 30 students. The breakdown includes 8 graduates from the Mathematics Study Program, 13 graduates from the Statistics Study Program, and 9 graduates from the Actuarial Science Study Program.

In his speech, the Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si., expressed his pride and hopes for the graduates. “We hope the graduates can apply the knowledge they have acquired during their studies at UGM and make meaningful contributions to society and the professional world,” he said.

The graduation ceremony also featured a series of activities, such as the reading of graduates’ names, awarding the best graduates, and providing post-study guidance from the Dean of FMIPA UGM. Additionally, the event provided a valuable moment for the graduates to express their gratitude to their lecturers and families who supported them throughout their studies.

With this graduation, the UGM Mathematics Department once again demonstrated its commitment to producing high-quality graduates who are ready to contribute to various fields of expertise. Moreover, they can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of quality education (SDG 4) and decent work and economic growth (SDG 8). May the graduates achieve success and bring pride to their alma mater.
