Yogyakarta, December 9, 2024 – The Final Semester Exams (UAS) for the first semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year for the Master’s Program in Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, officially began today. The exams were held in designated classrooms as arranged by the committee, conducted in an orderly and smooth manner. Students appeared enthusiastic and well-prepared to tackle the various courses scheduled for the day. Academic staff and exam supervisors performed their duties with full dedication, ensuring a conducive exam environment. Each session lasted for two hours per course.
The first session started at 7:30 AM WIB and was attended by active students who had met all administrative and academic requirements. The courses tested in this session included Kapita Selekta Aljabar A (Topic: Graph Theory), Fuzzy Logic, Algebraic Number Theory, and Discrete Control Systems. After a 30-minute break, the second session commenced at 10:00 AM WIB, featuring courses such as Event Data Analysis, Operator Theory, and Health Insurance. The exam process adhered strictly to faculty guidelines, including identity verification and checking of exam materials before students entered the exam rooms.
The Head of the Master’s Program in Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Sri Wahyuni, S.U., expressed her appreciation to everyone involved in organizing the exams. “These final exams are a critical moment for evaluating and enhancing students’ academic competencies. We hope all participants uphold the values of honesty, as academic integrity is a principle we firmly uphold. It is better to fail honestly than to succeed dishonorably. We thank the supervisors and staff who have supported the smooth execution of this examination,” said Prof. Sri Wahyuni.
The Final Semester Exams for the 2024/2025 Academic Year will continue over the next two weeks. The Master’s Program in Mathematics hopes all students can take the exams smoothly and comply with all applicable regulations. With this successful start, it is expected that the exams will serve as an important step for students to continue developing themselves and achieving their best academic performance.
