HIMPASTIKA Prepares a Variety of Flagship Programs for 2025!


The Master’s Program in Mathematics held a Coordination Meeting with the core board members of the Mathematics Postgraduate Student Association (HIMPASTIKA) FMIPA UGM for the 2025/2026 period, at the Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, S2/S3 Building, FMIPA UGM, on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The event was attended by the Management of the Master’s Program in Mathematics, the Program’s Administrator and Treasurer, the Chair of HIMPASTIKA for the 2024–2025 period, and the Chair and Core Board Members of HIMPASTIKA for the 2025–2026 period. The meeting took place from 08:30 to 11:00 AM WIB.

During the meeting, HIMPASTIKA presented a number of strategic activities planned for implementation throughout 2025. These programs were designed as a contribution from students to support academic development, soft skills, and to strengthen solidarity among members.

The Chair of HIMPASTIKA for the 2025–2026 period, M. Syadam Purwanto, stated that this year’s activities would be divided into several work programs, managed by four divisions: Academic Division, Talent and Interest Division, Media and Information Division, and Human Resources Empowerment Division.

Here is a summary of HIMPASTIKA’s 2025 work programs:

  1. Work Programs of the Academic Division:

    a. Academic Clinic: Learning assistance for core courses such as Analysis I, Mathematical Statistics I, and Advanced Linear Algebra (Odd Semester 2025/2026).
    b. Question Bank Compilation: Collection of Midterm/Final exam questions and reference books.
    c.  Journal Review: Thesis preparation for students (October 2025).
    d. Dissemination: Thesis sharing by students who have passed their defense (October 2025).
    e. National Seminar Collaboration: Research presentation at SEMNASTIKA in collaboration with HIMATIKA (September 21, 2025).

  2. Work Programs of the Talent and Interest Division:

    a. Organizational Structure Development: Structuring the organization’s identity (July 2025).
    b. Provision of HIMPASTIKA Board Uniforms: Establishing the board’s identity and building teamwork among HIMPASTIKA members.
    c. Entrepreneurship: Merchandise sales to support HIMPASTIKA’s cash fund (September 2025).
    d. Math-Sport: Badminton activities (June, August, and October 2025).
    e. Mini Tournament/Pickup Games: Badminton/futsal tournaments to strengthen bonds among members (November 2025).
    f. Math Art: Channeling students’ artistic talents through drawing activities (November 2025).

  3. Work Programs of the Media and Information Division:

    a. HIMPASTIKA Board Profile Creation 2025: Profile video for organizational documentation.
    b. MASK (Media Active, Sociable, and Creative): Social media activation, content auditing, promotion, and HIMPASTIKA website reactivation.
    c. HIMPASTIKA PDD: Documentation and publication of all divisional activities.

  4. Work Programs of the Human Resources Empowerment Division:

    a. HIMPASTIKA Board Upgrading: Strengthening solidarity among HIMPASTIKA board members (June 2025).
    b. AKSIOMA: Introduction event for Mathematics Postgraduate students at FMIPA UGM, including curriculum, specialization, and academic activities (September 2025).
    c. New Student Internship Program: Providing organizational experience for new students (October–December 2025).
    d. Organizational Visit: Strengthening friendships among Postgraduate organizations (November 2025).
    e. Himpastikation (HIMPASTIKA Graduation): Supporting Mathematics Postgraduate students by attending graduation ceremonies.

The Head of the Master’s Program in Mathematics FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Sri Wahyuni, S.U., warmly welcomed the work programs planned by HIMPASTIKA. She considered all of these activities as positive steps in supporting the academic quality improvement of both the students and the study program.

“I highly appreciate HIMPASTIKA’s efforts in preparing their work plans for 2025. These programs not only help students better understand lecture materials but also foster an active and collaborative learning culture. With good collaboration between the Department, Study Program, and HIMPASTIKA, it is hoped that students can become more mature and confident in solving their academic challenges, as well as developing strong teamwork skills. These activities align with the vision of the Master’s Program in Mathematics FMIPA UGM, which aims to produce graduates who excel not only in theory but also possess strong analytical abilities.”

With a spirit of collaboration, HIMPASTIKA hopes that all planned activities will run smoothly and bring positive impacts, both for the members and the surrounding environment. These programs also represent the active role of students in supporting the vision and mission of the Master’s Program in Mathematics FMIPA UGM.
