Yogyakarta – The Algebra Mini Symposium: Theory and Applications was held at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta as part of the 9th SEAMS-UGM 2023. The event took place over two days, from July 26th to July 27th, 2023, on the 7th floor of the FMIPA UGM Hall. This symposium featured renowned speakers from various universities, both domestic and international. Among them were professors and doctors from prestigious universities both inside and outside the country. They delivered their presentations with enthusiasm, showcasing their latest research and studies and engaging in inspiring and interactive discussions at the end of each presentation.
The rapid advancement of scientific knowledge, particularly in the field of mathematics and its applications, took center stage during this event. The participants of the symposium comprised researchers, educators, professors, and enthusiastic students who eagerly explored the latest theories and relevant practical applications of algebra.
On the first day, July 26th, 2023, the presentations commenced with Prof. Dr. Ali Baklouti from the University of Sfax, Tunisia, discussing “On Polynomial Conjectures of Nilpotent Lie Groups Unitary Representations.” This was followed by presentations from Prof. Dr. Shakir Ali (Aligarh Muslim University, India); Dr. Sugi Guritman (Bogor Agricultural Institute, Indonesia); and Dr. Kaylan Chakraborti (Kerala School of Mathematics).
The presentations continued on the second day, July 27th, 2023, opening with Prof. Shanta Laishrm (Indian Statistical Institute, India). Then, Prof. Dr. Sri Wahyuni from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, proceeded with the topic “On Generalization from Almost von Neumann Regular Rings to Almost von Neumann Regular Modules.” The presentations concluded with Prof. Muhammet Kurulay from Yildiz Technical University, Turkey.
One of the highlights of this event was the engaging discussion that followed each presentation. Participants actively posed questions, shared their viewpoints, and contributed fresh ideas to the speakers. These discussions provided an invaluable opportunity for exchanging information and broadening collective insights.
