Yogyakarta – Once again, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) has showcased its outstanding achievements on the national stage. The UGM contingent has successfully clinched various prestigious awards at the SATRIA DATA 2023 competition, reaffirming the resilience and excellence of its students in the fields of statistics and data.
SATRIA DATA 2023 stands for Statistics Ria and Data Science Festival, organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center, the National Achievement Center, and the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. SATRIA DATA is one of the talent competitions in the field of science, research, and innovation at the higher education level, aimed at enhancing students’ abilities in the development of statistics and data. The final round of SATRIA DATA in 2023 was held in Malang, East Java, from August 20th to 24th, 2023.
As a result, the UGM contingent achieved victories in various competition categories. In the National Statistics Competition (NSC), Gian Luky Saputra secured a Top 12 National ranking. Additionally, in the Statistics Essay Competition (SEC), involving three students, Cindy Ermawati, Anisa Dewi Fortuna, and Alifa Maharisa Azizah, they also achieved a Top 12 National ranking.
Outstanding achievements were also recorded in the Statistics Infographics Competition (SIC). Two teams emerged victorious, with one team securing second place, consisting of Kurniawan Chandra Wijaya, Dzulfahmi Dzakia Ahmad, and Keimazriel Delan, and the other team winning the Best Presentation award, composed of R.A. Callysta Sevanda Calyacetta, Silvy Aqila Maharani, and Tyas Titah Nariswari.
This remarkable achievement serves as a testament to the dedication and hard work of UGM students in facing the SATRIA DATA 2023 competition. Gadjah Mada University takes immense pride in its students’ national recognition in the fields of statistics and data.
