Project title: Mathematical Models for Mitigating Earthquake Risks in Indonesia
Short Description
Located in the ring of fire along the Pacific plate makes Indonesia a disaster-prone area, especially for earthquakes. Researchers have studied the physical study of the occurrence of earthquakes and their probabilistic models, thus its risks can be measured properly. This study will elaborate on the financial aspects of earthquake mitigation. It comprises of government programs, municipalities, the interactions between the mandatory sources and insurance products, and any other source of finance to mitigate those risks. We focus on how we manage earthquake risks and mitigate them with various financial products and programs.
