Demomatika Series #13 Discusses Recent Advances in Mathematical Modeling and Statistical Inference

Yogyakarta, October 1, 2025 – The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Gadjah Mada, once again held the Demomatika Series #13 with the topic “Advances in Mathematical Modeling and Statistical Inference.” The event took place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 09:30 to 12:30 WIB, conducted in a hybrid format at Meeting Room 1, 3rd Floor, Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UGM and online via Zoom Meeting.

The session featured Dr. Andi Dharmawan, S.Si., M.Cs. from the Department of Computer Science and Electronics (IKE), FMIPA UGM, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, Dr. Andi discussed various recent developments in mathematical modeling and statistical inference approaches used to understand complex phenomena across different fields of science and technology. Through this topic, participants were invited to explore how mathematical theories can be applied to interdisciplinary research, particularly in computational and data science.

As one of the regular programs organized by the Department of Mathematics, Demomatika aims to showcase the diverse applications of mathematics in research, industry, and everyday life. The event was attended by lecturers, students, and researchers interested in deepening their understanding of how mathematics can be utilized to solve real-world problems.

By presenting a relevant topic and featuring a speaker from another department, Demomatika Series #13 is expected to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and broaden the academic community’s perspective on the vital role of mathematics in advancing modern science and technology.
