Gunungkidul, October 4, 2025 — Giritirto Village, Purwosari District, Gunungkidul Regency, became the venue for a Community Service (PkM) activity organized by the Educational Staff (Tendik) team from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This program focused on providing training and outreach on digitalization of services based on information systems for the local community.
The PkM team consisted of Idrap Budiyana, Dewi Kartika Sari, Ph.D., Vemmie Nastiti Lestari, M.Sc., Jumari, Susiana, A.Md., Sudamanto, Eki Listyorini, S.E., and Sumardi.
In his opening remarks, Sukamdi, a representative from Giritirto Village, stated that the village had already implemented a Village Information System accessible through its official website. He expressed hope that this training would enhance synergy and broaden the knowledge of the village staff.
“Through this information system-based digitalization training, we hope to strengthen the capacity of our staff in providing better services to the community,” said Sukamdi.
The PkM activity featured two main sessions. The first session, “Statistical Data Processing with Excel,” was delivered by Vemmie Nastiti Lestari, M.Sc., who discussed effective methods for managing and analyzing statistical data using Microsoft Excel.
The second session, titled “Utilizing Google Forms to Simplify Public Services,” was presented by Susiana, A.Md. This session introduced participants to the use of Google Forms as a practical tool to streamline administrative processes and public services, making them more efficient and accessible.
The activity was attended by various community members, including village officials, hamlet heads, youth organization members, neighborhood representatives, PKK cadres, and local residents. Throughout the program, the atmosphere was highly interactive, with active discussions and Q&A sessions between participants and the PkM team. The participants not only gained theoretical understanding but also practical skills applicable to improving public service management in their respective areas.
