Prof. Imam Solekhudin, M.Si., Ph.D.

Biography

Imam Solekhudin is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Chair of Computational Mathematics Research Group in the Department of Mathematics. He received Ph.D Degree in Mathematics from Mathematics and Mathematics Education-National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

His expertise is in the field of numerical methods, especially in implementing boundary integral equation methods for solving boundary value problems in physical and engineering sciences.

Research interests

Solekhudin’s general research interest is in applied and engineering mathematics. Specific research topics he has worked on include boundary integral equation methods, infiltration from irrigation channels, heat transfer in non-layered and layered materials, pollutant spread in water, and diffusion-convection problems. At present, he is studying various problems involving analysis of advanced materials, such as, layered and functionally graded materials
