Yogyakarta, October 18, 2024 – The Jogja Innovator Summit 2024 took place again on Friday at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), featuring various exciting sessions aimed at inspiring young innovators. The fourth session, titled “VC Insights: How to Build a Fundable Startup,” featured Kenneth Li, Managing Partner at MDI Pte. Ltd, as the keynote speaker.

In this session, Kenneth Li shared profound insights on how to build a startup that attracts venture capital (VC) investors. He also highlighted the use of data and mathematics-based analysis, stressing that startups capable of analyzing market trends and accurately forecasting growth have a much better chance of securing funding. By utilizing predictive mathematical models, startups can forecast market needs, manage risks, and optimize resources effectively.

The session received enthusiastic responses from participants, particularly startup founders and academics interested in developing data-driven businesses. Participants were encouraged to utilize optimization techniques and statistical analysis to enhance operational efficiency and identify potential investment opportunities. With a solid foundation in mathematics, startups can devise more measured strategies to achieve their goals.
