Algebra Colloquium Discusses Endomorphisms on Finite Star Graphs with Prof. Dr. Jörg Koppitz

The Algebra Research Group of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UGM, held an online Algebra Colloquium on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 15.00 to 16.30 WIB. The event took place via the Zoom platform with the aim of enhancing understanding in the field of algebra, sharing the latest research findings, and fostering academic networks and collaborations among participants.

The speaker on this occasion was Prof. Dr. Jörg Koppitz from the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He presented his research titled “On Endomorphisms on the Finite Star Graph,” which discusses the characteristics and structure of endomorphisms on finite star graphs.

The colloquium was attended by lecturers, academic staff, students, and members of the public with an interest in mathematics, particularly algebra. Following the presentation, the event continued with an interactive discussion and Q&A session moderated by Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Yeni Susanti, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at UGM. During this session, participants showed great enthusiasm in asking questions and engaging in discussions, which enriched their understanding of the presented topic.

This colloquium is part of the Department of Mathematics FMIPA UGM’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and expand research networks in the field of mathematics, particularly algebra.
