Yogyakarta, June 20, 2025 – The Mathematics Doctoral Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Gadjah Mada has shown a strong commitment to academic quality by successfully holding a comprehensive examination in Semester II of the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
The comprehensive examination is an important stage that must be passed by every doctoral program student as a form of comprehensive evaluation of scientific mastery in the field of Mathematics. During this semester, as many as 10 students have taken the exam which was held offline and blended in the FMIPA UGM environment.
Ten students have taken the exam with various topics in pure and applied mathematics, such as analysis, algebra, statistics, and computational mathematics. among them are:
- Asri Bekti Pratiwi (Prof. Dr. Salmah, M,Si. as promoter, and Dr. Irwan Endrayanto, M.Sc. as co-promotor),
- Utti Marina Rifanti (Dr. Lina Aryati, M.S. as promoter, and Dr. Nanang Susyanto, S.Si., M.Sc. M.Sct.Sc. as co-promotor),
- Srianto (Dr. Indarsih, M.Si. as promoter, and Dr. Nanang Susyanto, S.Si., M.Sc. M.Sct.Sc. as co-Promotor),
- Abdulloh Jaelani (Prof. Supama, M.Si. as promoter, and Prof. Atok Zulijanto, M.Si., Ph.D. as co promotor),
- Ririn Setiyowati (Dr. Lina Aryati, M.S. as promoter, and Dr. Nanang Susyanto, S.Si., M.Sc. M.Sct.Sc. as co-Promotor),
- Indah Manfaati Nur (Prof. Dr. Abdurakhman, M.Si. as promoter, and Drs. Danardono, M.P.H., Ph.D. as co-promotor),
- Yosua Feri Wijaya (Prof. Dr. Yeni Susanti, M.Si. as promoter, and Uha Isnaini, M.Sc., Ph.D. as co-promotor),
- Rokhana Dwi Bekti (Prof. Dr. Gunardi, M.Si. as promoter, and Ts Dr. Mohd. Mahayaudin Mansor as co-promotor),
- Dara Puspita Anggraeni (Prof. Dr. Abdurakhman, M.Si. as promoter, and Dr. Noorma Yulia Megawati, S.Si., M.Sc. M.Sct.Sc. as co-romotor),
- Malahayati (Prof. Dr. Supama, M.Si. and Prof. Atok Zulijanto, M.Si., Ph.D. as co-promotor).
Head of the Mathematics Doctoral Study Program, Prof. Dr. Ch. Rini Indrati, M.Si. said that the exam went smoothly and orderly. “We are committed to maintaining academic quality through a strict and transparent evaluation system. This comprehensive exam is an important gate before students enter the dissertation research stage. We ensure that each student receives optimal guidance before taking the exam. The examination team consisting of professors and doctors in the field of mathematics has also prepared themselves well to provide a fair and comprehensive assessment,” she explained.
The successful implementation of these 10 comprehensive exams is a clear evidence of the seriousness of the Mathematics Doctoral Program in supporting students’ academic achievements and research readiness. It is hoped that the students who have passed this exam can continue the research stage with enthusiasm and high integrity.
The Mathematics Doctoral Study Program of FMIPA UGM will continue to strive to maintain the quality of higher education, while encouraging the birth of mathematics doctors who contribute to the development of science and problem solving in various fields.
