Students from the UGM Mathematics Department have achieved remarkable success in the Sanata Dharma Calculus League (Sadhar CalL). Sadhar CalL is an annual calculus competition organized by the Mathematics Education Study Program and Mathematics Study Program at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. This competition is attended by undergraduate students from various regions across Indonesia.
The final event and announcement of winners took place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, virtually, with students from the UGM Mathematics Department securing top positions in the competition. The first-place winners were Rifqi Firman Maulana (Mathematics 2019) and Akbar Adi Nugroho (Mathematics 2019), while the second-place winners were Renata Satriatama Ranukumbolo (Mathematics 2023) and Ivan Hadinata (Mathematics 2023). Notably, the third-place positions were secured by Rajendra Arya Adrista (Mathematics 2021) and Rafif Faizura Ramadhan (Mathematics 2021).
This victory demonstrates the presence of UGM Mathematics Department students in calculus competitions. They not only exhibit prowess in calculus but also a high level of spirit and dedication when facing national-level competition. This achievement mirrors the focus and hard work of these students in mastering the field of mathematics. Hopefully, this success will inspire other students from the UGM Mathematics Department to continue to develop and excel in the future.
