Students from the UGM Mathematics Department have once again showcased their abilities in the 3-Minute Thesis Competition, an event organized by the Indonesian Mathematical Society (Indo MS) in the DIY-Jawa Tengah region. This competition involved undergraduate and postgraduate students from various universities in the DIY-Jawa Tengah region who had research related to mathematics or mathematics education.
The announcement of the winners took place on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, and students from the UGM Mathematics Department secured the top positions in this competition. Silvina Rosita Yulianti claimed the first-place position with a captivating and concise presentation that left the judges impressed. Christina Agustin Raphonhita Simbolon also delivered an outstanding presentation, earning her the second-place position.
This victory is not only a source of pride for the UGM Mathematics Department but also reflects the students’ commitment to advancing the field of mathematics and their strong communication skills.
