On Wednesday (24/05), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) again held a graduation procession for the Bachelor and Diploma Program at Grha Sabha Pramana. After the procession was carried out, the event continued with the release of the graduates in the 7th floor auditorium of the new building, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), UGM.
In the graduation procession for this period, 18 students came from the Mathematics Department’s undergraduate program, with details of 9 students from the Mathematics Study Program, 6 students from the Statistics Study Program, and 3 students from the Actuarial Science Study Program.
The highest grade point average (GPA) for graduates of the S1 Mathematics Study Program was achieved by Maria Winda Eka Putri, 3.60 with a length of study of 4 years, 5 months, and 18 days. While graduates of the Statistics Study Program, the highest GPA was achieved by Nurhalim Subha Permata at 3.72 with a length of study of 3 years, 8 months, and 5 days. The best graduate of the Actuarial Science Study Program this period was Marfelix Fernaldy Angsari, with a GPA of 3.86 and a length of study of 3 years, 8 months, and 5 days.
The Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si., congratulated the graduates for their achievements as students.”Be committed to upholding ethics and morals and continuing to gain knowledge,” the dean said in his remarks. He also conveyed to all graduates that they should always build their reputation, increase their fighting power, improve their character, and understand that diplomas are not the only thing that determines their lives.
“Congratulations and be happy for a while, because after this there will be new challenges ahead,” he concluded.
