On Monday, June 5, 2023, the opening of the Key Management Service Implementation Training for University Data Security was held at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The activity was held in Session Room 1, 3rd Floor, of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UGM.
In the opening of this training, the first speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Dr. rer. nat. Indah Emilia Wijayanti, M.Si, as the Head of the Center of Cryptography and Cybersecurity Research. Dr. Nanang Susyanto, S.Si., M.Sc., as the Head of the Department of Mathematics, also delivered a speech. He said that, in the end, mathematics can be implemented in the real world. He hoped that this training could increase our awareness of data security.
The whole series of training events was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si. The training will be held for three days, Monday–Wednesday, June 5-7, 2023, with speakers from the PT Sandhiguna Widya Proteksi Team. Sandhiguna is a company that builds a cryptographic and key management software product with a root of trust in a hardware-based trusted execution environment to help enterprises protect their confidential data from possible breaches caused by improper cryptographic implementation and management.
