The Semester Coordination Team (TKS) of the Master’s Program in Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a regular coordination meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 09:30 to 12:00 WIB. The meeting, which took place in the Meeting Room of the S2/S3 Building, 3rd floor of FMIPA, aimed to evaluate the implementation of lectures and academic activities for the odd semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year following the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS).
The meeting was attended by the TKS team consisting of Dr. Ari Suparwanto, M.Si., Drs. Danardono, M.P.H., Ph.D., Made Tantrawan, M.Sc., Ph.D., Wira Kurniawan (as the Administrator of the Master’s Program in Mathematics), as well as representatives of the HIMPASTIKA board and several students of the Master’s Program in Mathematics. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ari Suparwanto, M.Si. as the team leader and discussed various issues related to lecture implementation, learning outcomes evaluation, and infrastructure in the Master’s Program in Mathematics (S2/S3 Building, 3rd floor of FMIPA), as well as discussions with students.
One of the main agendas of the meeting was analyzing the challenges encountered during lectures prior to the Mid-Semester Examination. Based on feedback from students and lecturers, the team sought solutions to improve the quality of learning. Additionally, the discussion included room allocation, supporting facilities needed by HIMPASTIKA, and other facilities to ensure the smooth running of lectures.
Dr. Ari Suparwanto, M.Si. emphasized the importance of good coordination among team members to achieve common goals. “Effective collaboration between lecturers, staff, and students is crucial for creating a conducive and productive learning environment. Through this coordination meeting, we hope to identify and address existing obstacles, as well as plan concrete improvement steps,” he explained.
The Semester Coordination Team of the Master’s Program in Mathematics is committed to continuously improving the quality of education and academic services. Through regular coordination meetings, the team hopes to create a more efficient system that is responsive to the needs of the entire academic community.
With the strategic steps that have been outlined, the Master’s Program in Mathematics, FMIPA UGM, is optimistic about providing a better learning experience for its students and supporting higher academic achievement.
