On Friday, March 22, 2024, the Department of Mathematics FMIPA UGM held a Seminar of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics at Meeting Room 1, Department of Mathematics, 3rd Floor. The event was attended by the management of the Department of Mathematics, the management of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics, doctoral students, and educational staff of the Department of Mathematics.
The seminar began with remarks from the Department Chair, Dr. Nanang Susyanto, S.Si., M.Sc., M.Act.Sc., and the Head of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Christiana Rini Indrati, M.Si.. The moderator for the event was Evita Purnaningrum, S.Si., M.Si.
One of the main sessions of the event was a sharing session and discussion with Dr. Retno Subekti, S.Si., M.Sc., who discussed Motivation in Publication Writing. The discussion, facilitated by Evita Purnaningrum, S.Si., M.Si., and Nikenasih Binatari, S.Si., M.Sc., provided a space for students to share experiences and views on the topic.
The second session focused on comprehensive information delivery, monitoring and evaluation, pre-feasibility assessment, and information related to the curriculum of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics for the year 2022, presented by the Program Chair, Prof. Dr. Christina Rini Indrati, M.Si., with moderation by Evita Purnaningrum, S.Si., M.Si.
The event concluded with a Light Discussion of the Student Association of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics, led by the Chair of the Student Association of the Doctoral Program in Mathematics, Evita Purnaningrum, S.Si., M.Si., and Nikenasih Binatari, S.Si., M.Sc.
May this seminar serve as a good initial step in strengthening synergy and collaboration among all parties involved in the Doctoral Program in Mathematics FMIPA UGM, while also making a tangible contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Among these goals, SDGs Point 4 related to Quality Education is addressed, as the seminar aims to strengthen curriculum and doctoral program development in line with the focus on quality education. Furthermore, SDGs Point 17 on Partnerships to achieve Goals is also highlighted in this event. Through the seminar, a strong partnership is built among the department management, doctoral program management, students, and educational staff.
