A New Spirit at the Beginning of the Year: The 2025 Yudisium of the Master’s Program in Mathematics at FMIPA UGM Marks the Start of an Academic Professional Journey

Yogyakarta, January 31, 2025 – The Master’s Program in Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), once again held a graduation ceremony (yudisium) for students who have completed their studies. This online event was attended by the Dean and Vice Deans, Department and Program Managers for Master’s and Doctoral Programs, the Head of the Administrative Office, and the Coordinator of Academic and Student Affairs.

In his speech, Prof. Drs. Roto, M.Eng., Ph.D., the Vice Dean for Education, Teaching, and Student Affairs (WDPPK), expressed his appreciation and congratulations to all students who have successfully completed their studies. He emphasized that this achievement is not the end, but rather the beginning of a broader academic and professional journey.

The number of participants in the FMIPA UGM Yudisium for January 2025 was 38 students from various study programs within FMIPA. Among them, 13 students were from the Master’s Program in Mathematics. The Cum Laude distinction was awarded to Agus Setiawan, who achieved a GPA of 3.76. The designation of “Very Satisfactory” was given to seven students: Ellina Vinajahi Syafa (GPA: 3.63), Uvi Dwian Kencono (GPA: 3.56), Endang Sulastri (GPA: 3.66), Wirasta Catur Pambudi (GPA: 3.62), Dewi Setyaningsih (GPA: 3.66), Syamillita Az-Zahra Nubushima (GPA: 3.63), and Silvina Rosita Yulianti, who was one of the By Research scholarship recipients with a GPA of 3.56. Four other students received a “Satisfactory” designation: Meilinda Roestiyana Dewy (GPA: 3.31), Purnama Sari (GPA: 3.48), Yeni Marlina (GPA: 3.34), Kartika Kusuma Sari (GPA: 3.34), and Evi Nor Laili Solikh Amin (GPA: 3.48).

With the successful organization of the January 2025 yudisium, the Master’s Program in Mathematics at FMIPA UGM once again produces graduates who are ready to face challenges in academia, research, and industry. It is hoped that these graduates will continue to grow and contribute to the field of mathematics and broader scientific knowledge.
