The Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with AXA Mandiri, hosted the event “AXA Mandiri Goes to Campus” on Friday, November 25, 2023, at the 7th-floor auditorium of FMIPA. AXA Mandiri Goes to Campus was organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary of AXA Mandiri. During this event, the collaboration between AXA Mandiri and the Department of Mathematics, FMNS UGM, was highlighted, including scholarship opportunities and direct internship placements at AXA Mandiri. The event served as a platform to raise health awareness and provide support to students, faculty, and educational staff.
The activities commenced with Session 1, featuring a Zumba session with students, faculty, and educational staff. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident in their lively spirits during the dance session. This was followed by a health check in Session 2, where participants could monitor their health conditions. The highlight of the event was the announcement of scholarship recipients and an informative talk show session. Three fortunate UGM students secured scholarships from AXA Mandiri, offering a positive boost to their academic achievements.
The talk show session covered two topics relevant to holistic health, focusing on the theme “The Importance of Maintaining Mental and Physical Health for Gen Z.” The discussion aimed to provide insights into the importance of a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, and mental health care, especially among the Gen Z population.
The AXA Mandiri Goes to Campus event at the Department of Mathematics, UGM, not only delivered direct benefits through physical activities but also imparted valuable knowledge regarding the significance of maintaining overall health. Hopefully, this event can inspire students to be more mindful of their physical and mental well-being.
