Yogyakarta – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMNS) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) once again held the Graduation Ceremony for Master’s Degree recipients for the Period I of the Academic Year 2023/2024. The event took place at the 7th-floor Auditorium of FMNS UGM on Thursday, October 27, 2023. The Department of Mathematics proudly saw 10 Master’s degree graduates (S2) during this period.
In this particular period, the Department of Mathematics had a graduate with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), Klatenia Selawati, who graduated with a CGPA of 3.97. Additionally, Komang Abri Perwira Jaya Artama also graduated with a cumlaude designation and a CGPA of 3.81.
A congratulatory address opened the ceremony, given by Aina Musdholifah, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., the Master’s Program Coordinator at FMIPA UGM. She expressed her appreciation for the graduates, acknowledging their journey filled with challenges, dedication, and perseverance. The graduates are part of a community with a strong spirit to seek knowledge, deepen understanding, and inspire positive change in various fields.
The Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si., also shared his message with the graduates. “May you continue to achieve success and remain in synergy with the Gadjah Mada Alumni Family (KAGAMA),” he expressed.
The graduation ceremony for postgraduate students in October 2023 marks a historic day in the lives of the graduates. They leave the university with profound knowledge and a determination to make their nation and country a better place through their contributions.
