Yogyakarta, October 22, 2025 – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again held the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period I of the Academic Year 2025/2026 on Wednesday (October 22) at Grha Sabha Pramana, 2nd floor. In this period, a total of 2,335 graduates were conferred degrees, consisting of 2,028 master’s graduates, 102 specialist graduates, 12 subspecialist graduates, and 193 doctoral graduates, including 7 international graduates. Among them, the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UGM, celebrated the graduation of 23 students from the Master’s Program in Mathematics and 6 graduates from the Doctoral Program in Mathematics.
The ceremony was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Education and Teaching, Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA, who delivered the Rector’s address. In the address, the Rector expressed the hope that UGM graduates will remain committed to advancing science and technology while upholding the good name of their alma mater.
“In carrying out professional duties, always prioritize a sense of responsibility for the welfare of the Indonesian people in particular, and the world in general, in accordance with the ideals of the Indonesian nation as stated in Pancasila,” the Rector conveyed through the Vice Rector.
Prof. Wening further emphasized the importance of networking as a key to career success. “Do not forget that networking is one of the keys to success, and KAGAMA can be one of the valuable networks right before your eyes,” she said. The ceremony was held solemnly and attended by graduates along with their families and members of the UGM academic community.
As a follow-up to the university-level ceremony, FMIPA UGM also held a faculty graduation gathering at the Herman Johannes Auditorium, 7th floor of FMIPA UGM.
During the event, Dr. Indarsih, M.Si., Secretary of the Master’s Program in Mathematics, reminded the graduates to become not only intelligent individuals but also those with integrity. Meanwhile, Prof. Drs. Roto, M.Eng., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Education, Teaching, and Student Affairs (WDPPK) FMIPA UGM, congratulated all graduates on their achievements. “Congratulations on your success and hard work. FMIPA recorded the highest number of graduates, totaling 141, and continues to be the most popular faculty among LPDP postgraduate scholarship recipients,” he stated.
