Workshop Department of Mathematics: Tips and Tricks for Writing Research Grant Proposals

The Department of Mathematics at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized a workshop titled “Tips and Tricks: Research Grant Proposal,” featuring Jayrold P. Arcede, Ph.D., from Caraga State University, Philippines. The event took place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in the Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the Mathematics Department Building.

The workshop was attended by faculty members and graduate students (both master’s and doctoral) and aimed to provide practical insights and skills for writing competitive research grant proposals. Prof. Jayrold shared various effective strategies and essential tips for drafting proposals that attract grant providers, based on his valuable experience and expertise accumulated over the years.

Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the event. Prof. Jayrold’s friendly yet clear presentation style made the attendees feel comfortable and open to discussion.
