70+ Achievements Behind Anggita’s Journey to Becoming FMIPA UGM’s Outstanding Student

Outstanding achievements are never achieved instantly. This is reflected in the journey of Anggita Dwi Putri, affectionately known as Anggita, a 2023 Statistics student, in earning the title of Outstanding Student (Mapres) I of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Through consistency, hard work, and a strong commitment to self-development, she has successfully achieved more than 70 accomplishments during her university years.

Since the beginning of her studies, Anggita has actively developed herself in both academic and non-academic fields. She consistently maintained an excellent GPA while participating in various national and international competitions, such as scientific writing contests, olympiads, and innovation competitions. In addition, she has also been actively involved in organizations and community service activities.

Anggita’s interest in joining the Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) began after being inspired by senior students who had previously earned the title. When the faculty-level selection opened in February 2026, she prepared various requirements, ranging from Outstanding Achievements (CU) to a Creative Idea Proposal (GK). After passing the document screening, presentation, and interview stages, Anggita was selected as FMIPA UGM’s Outstanding Student I on March 12, 2026.

Afterward, Anggita continued her journey to the university-level selection. During the preparation process, she was also undertaking an internship in Jakarta, requiring her to travel back and forth to Yogyakarta to attend the selection stages. For the university-level presentation, she chose to present in English as a form of readiness to share her ideas on a broader stage.

Although she had not yet succeeded in becoming the university-level Outstanding Student, the experience provided her with valuable lessons and opportunities to connect with outstanding students from various faculties at UGM. “For me, achievement is not only about the final result, but also about the learning process, consistency, and the courage to keep trying despite failure,” said Anggita.

The title of FMIPA UGM’s Outstanding Student I achieved by Anggita serves as proof that consistent effort can lead to meaningful accomplishments and inspire other students.
