FMIPA UGM Holds Graduation Farewell Ceremony for 146 Undergraduate Students in Academic Year 2025/2026 Period III


Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada held the Farewell Ceremony for Undergraduate Graduates of Academic Year 2025/2026 Period III on Wednesday (20/5) at the Herman Johanes Auditorium, FMIPA UGM. The event took place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. WIB and was attended by 146 graduates from various study programs.

Of the total graduates, 38 students came from the Department of Mathematics, consisting of 5 graduates from the Actuarial Science Study Program, 15 graduates from the Mathematics Study Program, and 18 graduates from the Statistics Study Program.

In this period, the title of Best Graduate of the Faculty as well as Best Graduate of the Statistics Study Program was awarded to Kurniawan Chandra Wijaya from the Statistics Study Program, class of 2022. Meanwhile, the Best Graduate of the Actuarial Science Study Program was awarded to Muhammad Naufal Abdillah from the class of 2021, and the Best Graduate of the Mathematics Study Program was awarded to Aldy Alie Darmawan from the class of 2022.

The fastest graduate award was achieved by Natassya Marchelina Cahya Setyaji from the Statistics Study Program, class of 2022, who completed her studies in 3 years, 5 months, and 15 days. Meanwhile, the title of youngest graduate was awarded to Annisa Sekartierra Mulyanto from the Statistics Study Program, class of 2022, at the age of 20 years, 7 months, and 10 days.


The event began with an opening ceremony followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and the Gadjah Mada Hymn. The ceremony continued with a speech from the graduate representative, Kurniawan Chandra Wijaya. In his speech, he shared the life motto he lives by, namely, “Growing without losing meaning.”
He also encouraged fellow graduates to maintain their passion for learning after completing their studies.
“Whatever paths we choose after graduation will certainly be different. I hope we will continue to have the spirit to learn, the courage to try, and the humility to keep growing,” he said.

The next remarks were delivered by the President of KM FMIPA Student Executive Board, Amalia Khoirunnisa, followed by a speech from the Dean of FMIPA UGM, rof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si. The event concluded with the presentation of cum laude certificates, a joint prayer session, and a group photo session with all graduates and invited guests.

This event also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4, Quality Education, through efforts to produce outstanding, competent graduates who are ready to contribute to society.
