Yogyakarta, Indonesia – On the auspicious day of Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Gadjah Nada (UGM) held its prestigious Graduation Ceremony for the second batch of bachelor students of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The celebration took place in the grand FMIPA UGM Auditorium, located on the 7th floor, marking a significant milestone for the graduates and the faculty alike.
This year, the Department of Mathematics proudly announced the graduation of 25 talented undergraduate students. The graduates comprised 12 from Mathematics, 9 from Actuarial Science, and 4 from Statistics. Among these achievers, four distinguished graduates were honored for achieving academic excellence.
The ceremony was inaugurated with an inspiring opening speech by the Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si. He emphasized the importance of not solely depending on the hard skills learned through university education but also the cultivation of essential soft skills to thrive in professional environments. His message underscored the core objectives of SDGs 4 and 17, highlighting the commitment to enhancing educational quality and fostering graduates who are well-equipped to make meaningful contributions to society and the advancement of science.
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UGM extends its warmest congratulations to all the bachelor graduates of the Department of Mathematics for the second period of the Academic Year 2023/2024.
