Closing Ceremony of Summer School 2023 on Number Theory and Cryptography: Strengthening Collaboration for Research Advancement 

Yogyakarta, July 24, 2023: On Monday, July 24, 2023, the Summer School 2023 on Number Theory and Cryptography officially closed after a two-week hybrid event from July 10 to July 24, 2023. This prestigious program was hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and attended by undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young researchers.

The Summer School on Number Theory and Cryptography was organized as a satellite event of The 9th SEAMS-UGM 2023 International Conference on Mathematics and Its Applications. The main objectives of this program were to enhance understanding of number theory and cryptography while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among the participants.

The Chair of the Committee, Uha Isnaini, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his pride in the success of the event. He was delighted to see active participation from the attendees in every session, including material presentations and discussions.

The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. Nanang Susyanto, S.Si., M.Sc., the Head of the Mathematics Department at UGM, who formally brought the Summer School 2023 to an end. In his speech, he said, “May this Summer School be the first step in fostering collaborations for research advancements in algebra.”

The atmosphere was filled with happiness as one of the participants, Wachid, shared his impressions and experiences during the Summer School 2023. “I am delighted to have participated in this year’s Summer School. I had the opportunity to meet new friends and gain valuable experiences, and I am satisfied with all that I have learned. I hope we can all stay connected even after this program,” he expressed.
