Departemen Matematika FMIPA UGM mempunyai komitmen yang tinggi dalam mendukung aktifitas-aktifitas yang dilakukan Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS). Kurun dua tahun ke depan, IndoMS mempunyai kepengurusan baru di bawah Presidennya yaitu Prof. Basuki Widodo dari Fakultas Matematika, Komputasi dan Sains Data (FMKSD) ITS. Di awal tahun kepemimpinannya, Prof. Basuki Widodo mengadakan Rapat Koordinasi Program Kerja IndoMS yang diadakan pada hari Sabtu 6 Oktober 2018 di Kampus ITS Sukolilo.
