Fajar Adi Kusumo

 

Biography

Dr. Fajar Adi Kusumo is an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada and Vice Dean of Alumni, Cooperation, and Innovations in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

He has joined the Department of Mathematics since 2000 and has held several positions in the Department during his career, i.e., Head of Applied Mathematics Research Group (2011 – 2016), Head of Applied Mathematics Laboratory (2016 – 2020), and Head of the Department of Mathematics (2021).

 

Research interests

His research interest is mainly in Dynamical Systems and Its Applications. Since 2011, he developed a research group in Cancer Modeling that concern to the early detection and treatment effects of the cancer disease in perspective of Mathematics. In theoretical research, he is also interested in bifurcation, chaos, and perturbation theories.
