Yogyakarta, July 17, 2023 – The opening ceremony of the accreditation of the mathematics study program by the field assessment team from LAMSAMA (Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal) was successfully held. The assessment team present at the event consisted of Prof. Dr. Roberd Saragih, M.T., and Prof. Dr. Agus Suryanto, M.Sc.
Warmly welcoming the assessment team, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si., expressed his excitement. He hopes that this accreditation process will provide a comprehensive evaluation of the Mathematics Study Program at FMIPA UGM (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University) to enhance the quality of education in the program.
The assessment event is planned to be conducted over two consecutive days, on July 17th and 18th, 2023, at the 7th-floor Auditorium of FMIPA UGM. The main method employed for assessment is through discussions between the assessment team and the management of the Mathematics Study Program.
Following the opening ceremony, the assessment team commenced the evaluation process, which involved observations, discussions, and document verification related to the mathematics study program. Interactive discussions between the assessment team and the mathematics study program management serve as valuable input to improve the quality of teaching, curriculum, and research within the program.
Through the accreditation of the Mathematics Study Program, the aim is to enhance the quality of mathematics education at FMIPA UGM and instill confidence in the graduates within the community. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada is committed to continuously developing the program to make a significant contribution to the field of mathematics in the future.
