Yogyakarta, April 24, 2024 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM) proudly hosted the Graduation Ceremony for Master’s and Doctoral Programs, Period III Academic Year 2023/2024. The ceremony took place in the Auditorium on the 7th floor of FMIPA UGM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
In this graduation period, the Department of Mathematics conferred degrees to 7 Master’s (S2) graduates and 4 Doctoral (S3) graduates, all of whom have completed their academic journey with outstanding achievements. One of the graduates from the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Mu’amar Musa Nurwigantara, S.Si., stood out by receiving three prestigious awards: highest GPA, shortest study duration, and youngest Doctoral graduate at the age of 25 years, 8 months, and 27 days.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome speech from the Dean of FMIPA UGM, Prof. Dr. Eng. Kuwat Triyana, M.Si. He encouraged the graduates to be exemplary figures in their communities, emphasizing the importance of becoming competent leaders in their respective fields. His message resonated with the call to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 17, focusing on improving access and quality of education, and preparing graduates to actively contribute to society and the world of science.
Heartfelt congratulations and high praises were extended to all postgraduate students of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UGM, Period II of the Academic Year 2023/2024.. The knowledge acquired is hoped to serve as a strong foundation for spreading goodness and innovation across various aspects of life.
